A Unified Smart Home Experience
UKOKE is a smart home platform designed to simplify how users interact with connected appliances through a single, intuitive mobile app. It allows users to control devices, monitor performance, and automate everyday routines, bringing clarity and convenience to an otherwise complex smart home environment.
AI-powered features enhance the experience by learning user behaviors and supporting smarter decision-making. Through intelligent automation suggestions, predictive maintenance alerts, and energy optimization insights, UKOKE helps users maintain comfort and efficiency while keeping them in control of their connected home.
THE DESIGN CHALLENGES
Designing UKOKE meant simplifying complex AI- and IoT-powered interactions into a clear, trustworthy experience. The challenge was balancing intelligent automation with user control while maintaining clarity across real-time device data and multiple connected appliances. Building user trust and ensuring the experience could scale with future devices and features were key considerations throughout the design.

Business Goal
To position UKOKE as a leading smart home platform by delivering an easy-to-use app that drives adoption, strengthens market appeal, and scales across devices and markets.
Design System
The design system uses a soft, calming color palette paired with clean, modern typography to reinforce UKOKE’s focus on comfort, clarity, and trust. Light blues and neutral tones reflect a sense of freshness and reliability associated with home environments, while providing clear visual hierarchy and accessibility. The chosen typeface balances warmth with legibility, ensuring content feels approachable and easy to read across devices, supporting a calm and intuitive smart home experience.
Icons
The icon system uses a consistent line-based style with uniform stroke weights and simplified shapes to ensure clarity and scalability across screen sizes. Icons are designed around clear, universal metaphors and optimized for legibility at small sizes, with color used selectively to indicate states and modes. This approach ensures visual consistency, quick recognition, and reliable performance across devices and interaction contexts.
AI Experience
UKOKE’s AI features are designed to feel simple, approachable, and consistent with the brand’s calm identity. Voice control allows users to manage home devices naturally, while access to interaction history ensures transparency and trust. By blending AI seamlessly into the existing visual and interaction language, the experience feels supportive and human, enhancing everyday control without adding complexity.

The final design brings together clarity, consistency, and a modern visual language to create an intuitive smart home experience.
